A few weeks ago we celebrated Steve’s 25th birthday and it’s always been our little tradition to plan a trip as a way to celebrate. I was going back and forth between a few cities but after all of the house stuff only a month before none of them were really in our budget. I was bummed and didn’t want to break tradition but didn’t think I could find anything within our price range. After doing a bit of research, I decided on San Antonio because not only is it close to Austin but this city is booming right now, the food scene is out of control and the Airbnb’s were all decently priced.
OMG three years!!! I swear, sometimes it feels like Steve and I have already been together for ten years lol and then other times it seems like it’s only been a couple of months. We technically don’t know the actual date of our anniversary (oops) but we do know that it’s sometime in April, so we usually just pick a free weekend to celebrate.
This past February Steve surprised me with a trip to Nashville for my birthday. We typically do quick weekend trips and take the red-eye home on Sunday, but he somehow found my boss’s email and was able to get Friday off for me so we could enjoy a three day weekend (I realllly gotta step up my birthday gift game). Anyways, neither of us had been to Nashville, but luckily Steve told me about the trip a week before we left so I could plan (minimum amount of time for my packing procrastination). He knows how I am and that I like to obsessively stalk social media to find the best restaurants and things to do in a new city and then plan out an entire itinerary for every trip…a bit crazy, I know. One thing I didn’t have to worry about planning was where we would stay because Steve booked THE cutest Airbnb, I could’ve lived in this place forever!
