48 Hours in San Antonio

A few weeks ago we celebrated Steve’s 25th birthday and it’s always been our little tradition to plan a trip as a way to celebrate. I was going back and forth between a few cities but after all of the house stuff only a month before none of them were really in our budget. I was bummed and didn’t want to break tradition but didn’t think I could find anything within our price range. After doing a bit of research, I decided on San Antonio because not only is it close to Austin but this city is booming right now, the food scene is out of control and the Airbnb’s were all decently priced.

Empty House Tour

Well, we have officially been homeowners for a month!! We’ve been so busy with the move and travel that the first month has flown by but we’re looking forward to tackling some of the projects around the house. I wanted to share an empty house tour with you all before we start decorating and painting.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies | Gluten Free & Vegan

Lately I’ve been in the mood to bake and decided to make some quick and easy cookies last night! As I mentioned, Steve is allergic to gluten and eggs so I always have to make sure whatever I’m making is free of both. I love to check out Rachel Mansfield’s website for flavor ideas, she bakes with all real food, and once I find something that sounds delicious I alter the recipe a bit to work for us.

Mother’s Day | Perfect Gift For Mom

This past weekend my mom flew down to Austin for our annual girls trip with my best friend from college and her mom. Since I’ll be out of town this upcoming weekend, and we had a few days to ourselves, my mom and I decided to celebrate Mother’s Day early.

Celebrating Three Years

OMG three years!!! I swear, sometimes it feels like Steve and I have already been together for ten years lol and then other times it seems like it’s only been a couple of months. We technically don’t know the actual date of our anniversary (oops) but we do know that it’s sometime in April, so we usually just pick a free weekend to celebrate.

Easter Outfits

I cannot believe that it’s going to be Easter in a few days, I feel like this year has already flown by! Since we don’t have family that live in Texas, Steve and I haven’t really made any plans yet. We might swing by a friends family party that we were invited to, host people at our house or go grab Easter brunch just the two of us! I think we’re both just so happy to have a free weekend (it’s been forever) that we’re totally fine with making a last minute decision on what we want to do. One thing I love about Easter though is dressing up, regardless of your plans, so I wanted to share three Easter outfit ideas that work for any occasion!

Chimichurri Chicken Recipe

Has this week been dragginggg on for anyone else?? I feel like it’s been Monday for the past three days lol and all I want is the weekend!! I’ve also been so lazy with dinner this week, we’ve eaten out pretty much everyday. I wanted to share one of my all time favorite / quick dinner recipes, that also happens to be Whole30 approved, and hopefully it’ll encourage me to actually cook tonight.

Sunday Routine

I try to follow this routine every Sunday but I especially needed it yesterday after a weekend in Dallas with my girlfriends. We drank way too much, barely slept and I somehow finished an entire pizza to myself #thriving
